The Industrial Revolution
bypassed The Chimneys Violin Shop. Here at The Chimneys there is no
division of labor, each stringed instrument made here is made by one person,
without the use of modern machine tools. Each violin, viola or cello
is hand carved with knives, gouges or chisels. The materials used to
make these instruments were all available to the 18th Century violin makers
of Cremona Italy. |
